The Breed's Hill Institute is committed to giving Americans a passion for the revolutionary ideas, people, and experience that is our shared legacy. It is our belief that without an understanding of who we were we cannot know who we are.

Our mission is to reach out to Americans of every background and political party, to remind us what we have in common,- the unique story of America. We want to challenge people to find their place in the American adventure, to inspire hope for our generation and generations to come.

Breed's Hill is committed to instilling in Americans, whether they were born here or have chosen to become American that they have inherited a treasure. All Americans are the posterity of the patriots who stood at Breed’s Hill, signed the Declaration of Independence, and forged the Constitution. We believe in finding new ways, using modern communication and media, to make the past live again in our hearts, and inspire us with a vision for the future.

Our goal is not just education; it is restoration. Over time,  groups with their own agendas have worked to distort our history. The amazing contributions and unique stories of many have been sidelined or belittled. Not everything in our shared history is good.  While we must acknowledge this, we must also champion that which is good in our history. By remembering who we were, we discover ourselves in a larger story, a story to which we can contribute a verse. We remember that we are still building a society whose foundations are solid, and if we are diligent, whose future is unlimited.

Our dream, and our passion, is to see Americans remember who we are and not rely on others to define us. To rediscover the great things we have in common, and therefore be better able to discuss those things on which we differ. The American Revolution never ended; it lives on and still seeks the same ideals of liberty, justice, and self determination.
